Sounding raft building workshop

September 12 2025 – 14:00
Dechantlacke, Vienna

Participants are invited to build raft structures together using bamboo, buckets, and bicycle tubes. We will carve bamboo, implement organ pipes and listen to the water perform it while the ship is sinking. The construction will serve as the foundation for the floating KUBUS, which will act as a mobile venue for the Dessi Soli event on the following day.

The workshop is a collaboration of Setzkasten Kubus and Maas Lab and will be hosted by Martin Simpson & Stefan Voglsinger.

Please bring a towel, swimming outfit and warm clothes. The best way to reach the place is by bicycle. We will provide some tea – bring your own mug and snacks if you want.
