HALL07 Riga

2019–2019 → archive

From 2019 onwards the longterm project HALL33 started shifting from a linear setup of iterations towards an asynchronous and poly-situated practice. HALL07 developed as a series of site-specific experiments in Kemzeke (BE), Wimbledon UK), Akniste (LV) and Riga (LV). The two latter consolidated into the public presentation of a performative installation. HALL07 Riga was presented at the Homo Novus festival in the framework of the ‘Festival school’ and situated in an old school building on Alojas street. Participants were invited on a silent discovery of the building in which elements of decay were staged to guide the audience’s attention into taking different positions of ‘spect-actorship’.
