Landscape Melting Pots

Workshop by Anna Luz Pueyo

Can we unveil the biocultural potential of a landscape through collective herbariums and boiling pots? How can we ‘make’, with local plants?

Using the centuries-old tools of the herbarium and the hot pot, we will explore the local flora to unveil its stories and ethnobotanical potential. This potential can be understood as a potential application for our human world or for ecosystemic reasons, between the plant and their non-human partners. This short investigation paves the way for different perspectives on the silent beings that we often take for granted, exploring the ways in which people have been using plants, and how we can make colour, food or materials with them while developing a new sense of care for the ecosystem.
